Nourishing Museli Bars

Processed Museli bars are expensive and quite often laden with un-necessary additives.

I love getting the kids to make these museli bars - THEY love getting their hands messy making them!

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of rolled oats

  • 1 cup mixed seeds (pepitas, sunflower are great)

  • ¼ cup sultanas

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 2 free range eggs

  • ¼ cup or milk of choice

  • 1 tablespoon of honey or rapidura sugar mixed in a small amount of boiling water to dissolve

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees

  • Line a baking dish with baking paper

  • Add all dry ingredients to a bowl and mix

  • In a separate bowl, combine all the wet ingredients together and mix well

  • Combine wet and dry ingredients together

  • Pour mixture into dish and press down tightly

  • Cook for 25 mins

  • Cut and cool

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Optional method – combine all ingredients in a food processor or thermomix to combine gently.

Option to get creative with mixture!! You could add nuts, or different dried fruit

ENJOY!!
