Nourishing Museli Bars
Processed Museli bars are expensive and quite often laden with un-necessary additives.
I love getting the kids to make these museli bars - THEY love getting their hands messy making them!
Ingredients:
200 grams of rolled oats
1 cup mixed seeds (pepitas, sunflower are great)
¼ cup sultanas
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 free range eggs
¼ cup or milk of choice
1 tablespoon of honey or rapidura sugar mixed in a small amount of boiling water to dissolve
Method:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees
Line a baking dish with baking paper
Add all dry ingredients to a bowl and mix
In a separate bowl, combine all the wet ingredients together and mix well
Combine wet and dry ingredients together
Pour mixture into dish and press down tightly
Cook for 25 mins
Cut and cool
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
Optional method – combine all ingredients in a food processor or thermomix to combine gently.
Option to get creative with mixture!! You could add nuts, or different dried fruit
